Abstract: Canada will be investing 1.6 billion CAD in the next 6 years to allow for the immigration of foreign nationals and their settlement.
Canada will invest 1.6 billion CAD in the next 6 years for immigration processes and settlement of newcomers who will be arriving in the country. After that period, 315 million CAD will be invested every year in the aforementioned activity, as stated in the 2023-2025 Immigration Levels Plan.

Canada plans to welcome around 1.45 million foreign nationals to the country in the coming 3 years. The annual target for welcoming immigrants will expand to 500,000 by 2025, where the Economic Class would be a major contributor.
Through immigration, Canada plans to boost its economy, generate jobs, and make living affordable for every Canadian citizen. The newcomers arriving in Canada will help in addressing the shortage in the workforce. The Economic Class would help in welcoming 301,250 newcomers.
It plans to invest 50 million CAD in 2022 to clear the immigration applications backlog. Canada also plans to make the Express Entry system more efficient.
