· 12 specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes are categorized under the occupations related to Health and Technology

Overview:

New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program passed a statement, “by the end of 2022, Opportunities New Brunswick (ONB) Immigration is set to implement a few measures, to handle the inventory of the Skilled Worker stream.”

The Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities (TEER) codes have been replaced with the NOC codes. The 12 specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes are categorized under the occupations related to Health and Technology.

New measures will be adapted in the Skilled Worker stream

New Brunswick, has declared that it will be prioritizing the immigration applications of Canada, particularly from 12 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes of health and technology-related occupations.

The applications of international graduates, francophones, and graduates from the province, will also be focused on, in order to address its backlogs.

The Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities (TEER) codes have been replaced with the NOC codes. Below are the 12 specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes categorized under the Health and Technology related occupations.

The applications that are not included in the categories mentioned above will be updated later and the application processing is assumed to be delayed.

However, the applicants can use the Atlantic Immigration Program, if they are not categorized into any one of the above codes.

Basic eligibility requirements: Skilled Worker Stream

The skilled worker stream of New Brunswick mainly targets immigration candidates who have a full-time secured job offer from an employer in the province.

The overseas applicants must meet the following basic eligibility requirements.

·     Must have a genuine job offer, with a permanent position

o   Low-skilled workers: NOC D skill type 7, 8 and 9

o   Semi-skilled workers: NOC C

o   High-skilled workers: NOC 0, A, B

·    Evidence that you are qualified for the specific job role

·    Must be given competitive wages like;

o   Similar or exceeded wage level in a particular region of New Brunswick for the occupation

o   Have the same wages in comparison to the worker with similar training and experience for related job roles in New Brunswick

o   Compatibility with the employer structure of wages

·   Must have a genuine intention to stay in New Brunswick. The immigration candidates must be transparent with the details mentioned below:

o   Present employment in New Brunswick

o   Involvement of the community

o   Details of employment search

o   Details of all the past visits to the country

o   Professional affiliations and networks

o   Capability to support yourself in the province

o   Details of the past or current residence period

o   Information on the actions taken in order to settle in the province

o   Connections through study, family, or work

o   Property ownership and household lease agreements

o   Social relationships, family ties, or any other connections

·   For a regulated occupation in a job offer, it is a must for the candidates to have a necessary license or certificate

Factors of selection under the Skilled Worker Stream

If all the eligibility requirements are met, the candidates are scored based on the six selection factors. To be qualified under this stream, it is mandatory for the immigration candidates to score a minimum 60 points out of 100.
