Canada has invited 636 Express Entry immigration candidates to apply for permanent residence under the Canada Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) on June 22, 2022.

The candidates who have received a nomination previously from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and had a Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) of at least 752, the minimum score was comparatively high as the immigration candidates under the Express Entry can automatically gain 600 points which are added to their score as soon as they receive a provincial nomination.
Also, in the invitation round conducted earlier, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 932 Express Entry candidates with a minimum score of 796.

Criteria for Comprehensive Ranking System under Express Entry
Sean Fraser, the Immigration Minister, stated that the IRCC is temporarily looking to continue all-program draws on July 6, 2022.

Since September 2021, Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted the PNP draws. The IRCC has temporarily paused the CEC and FSWP draws for the immigration candidates to decrease the Express Entry backlog; the pandemic intensified.

The IRCC's application inventory has improvised the three Express Entry programs since the announcement. According to June 1,2022, it currently has 31,603 individuals compared to 40,889 at the end of April.
However, it may not be the end of PNP draws but all-program draws might resume in the next two weeks. The IRCC had held PNP occasionally draws before the pandemic as it considers the PNP to be an integral part of supporting the economic development regions across Canada.

Subsequently, the Canadian parliament will pass Bill C-19, which will permit the IRCC to invite the immigration candidates who are eligible to meet the government's economic priorities. For example, the government may conduct occupation-specific draws for the immigration candidates working in the occupation that might face labor shortages.
