Highlights: 232,000 Skilled Workers land jobs in multiple sectors in Canada

  • The skilled workers payroll employment rose by 232,000, up 1.3 per cent.
  • The number of employees receiving pay and benefits rose by 51,400.
  • As per the report, skilled workers landed more jobs in 11 out of 20 multiple sectors.
  • The job vacancies increased in Prince Edward Island by 600 or 28.3 percent in March 2024.

Canada witnessed monthly gains in March

According to the latest Employment, Payrolls, and Hours survey, the number of employees receiving pays and benefits from their employers rose by 51,400, or 0.3 % in March. The job sectors in healthcare and social assistance added 11,700 jobs.

 

Here are the details of the sectors that increased no of jobs in March 2024:

The payroll employment in educational sectors rose by 31,600, up 2.2 per cent and the gain was focused on the following:

In March, there was also an increase in manufacturing jobs by 7,300. Other than that, construction jobs added 2,600, up 0.2 per cent, and wholesale trade jobs added 2,600, up 0.3 per cent.

The job vacancies in Prince Edward Island increased by 600 or 28.3 percent in March 2024.At the same time, other Canadian provinces faced declines. Here are the details of the following:

PNPs offer a route to Economic Immigration for Skilled workers
