About Canada IEC:

 

What is Canada IEC? 

 

Canada IEC allows youth to travel and work in Canada for up to 2years. Canada IEC provides three types of work and travel experience such as:

  • Working holiday
  • Young Professional
  • International Co-op (Internship)

 

An individual who is a citizen of a partner country, they are eligible to apply to one or more of these 3 categories.

 

An individual can apply either through IEC or through a recognized organization (RO). ROs are Canadian-based organization that helps foreign and Canadian youth work and travel internationally through IEC.

 

Key pointers to remember for Canada IEC:

  • Your country or territory must have a Youth Mobility Agreement (YMA) with Canada.
  • Some countries are allowed to participate once
  • Other countries are allowed to participate twice.
  • Dependents can’t come to Canada with the Canada IEC program.
  • Even if you are invited to apply it depends on the country how many times an applicant can participate.
