Details of Canada Immigration plan for 2023:

Canada is regarded as the most accessible place to immigrate with your family as it facilitates immigrants. Previously, the immigration plan of Canada was to bring over 1.3 million people as a permanent resident of Canada across the globe. Canada has partially accomplished this by inviting 354,000 immigrants by 2023 in different categories.

In 2023, IRRC began conducting category-based Express Entry draws. These draws were focused to help Canada invited foreign nationals who are suited for the country. The categories were:

• For those who have recent work experience: Healthcare, Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics (STEM), Trades, Transport, and Agri-Food/Agriculture.

Upcoming immigration plan of IRCC for 2024:

As announced in the immigration plan for 2024-206, Canada is going to invite a total number of 485,000 permanent residents (PRs) in 2024. They will focus on category-chosen draws but with a reassessment of the category. This also means new sectors and proficiency will also get a chance to be chosen by IRCC as an area of focus for migration.
