On March 2, 2022, Canada has invited 1,047 immigrants through the Express Entry. In the new invitation round, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada has invited the only Provincial Nominee Program candidates. The CRS score for these candidates will be 761.The reason behind a high CRS score is thatPNP candidates get 600 points when they receive the nomination. The candidates will have 161 points without nomination. The candidates will get 60 days time to apply for permanent residence.

From December 2020 onwards, Express Draw under Federal Skilled Workers program has not been issued and Express Entry Draw for Canadian Express Class candidates has not been issued since September 2021. Sean Fraser, the Canadian Immigration minister, has told about the resuming of these draws in the near future. There was no mention of the date of resuming these draws. 2022-2024 immigration plan has been made in which it is mentioned that in this year, Express Entry for the skilled workers will be cut to half. It is also mentioned that by 2024, everything will be normal. There is a chance of changes in the targets in the 2023-2025 plan. There is a plan of inviting 83,500 candidates in 2022 through Canada PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) and Express Entry.
