Details of the Survey:

The poll found a substantial majority of Canadians agreed that Temporary workers are needed to frame the country's economy. To have a clear vision:

Nanos Research is one of North America's top-most research and strategy organisations. Nanos Research helps the government to understand the public opinion that is conducted through certain polls. This time, Nanos Research understood Canadians' views on temporary foreign workers.

This survey mainly focuses on the importance of the Canadian economy that allows Temporary workers to be employed in Canada, be a PR or citizen, and enjoy the benefits of staying in Canada and allowing them to change employers.

Nanos conducted an RDD dual frame, a land-and-cell-lines hybrid, and a random survey of 1,006 Canadians, 18 years or older, between 17th and 29th December.

Participants were randomly recruited via telephone using live agents, and an online survey was administered.

  • Two results were noted down after the research:
  • The margin error for this survey was ± 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
  • The significant finding was that 8/10 Canadians support Temporary workers (49%) or somewhat support (30%) employers bringing in temporary foreign workers to help fill jobs they can't find Canadians to do.

The majority of the support is stronger in the Atlantic region with 61% support, 25% somewhat support and Quebec with 57% support and 32% instead support.
