  • 58,000 job openings were registered in Portugal in June 2023
  • Portuguese companies are going to offer employment in eight sectors.

Rules that Foreign Workers must know before applying for a Portugal work visa:

 

The citizens of EU/EFA countries and Switzerland don't need a work visa to work in Portugal. However, if they plan to stay there for more than three months, they must opt for a residency visa.

 

Non-citizens of EU/EFA countries will need a work visa to work in Portugal. Portugal's Labour Authorities must complete the application process.

 

Before applying, the employer must confirm that the job vacancy has been posted for a minimum of one month ago for Portuguese workers to use.
