Details about the growth of immigration:

The net immigration is expected to grow by 6.1 million in 2036. Sunak’s government has noticed this as a threat towards political elections. As per the National Statistics, the net immigration will increase from 6.7 to 73.7 million in mid-2036.

 

The rising migration has become a dominant political issue in Britain and will be a political issue in losing power. The report also shows that over the 15 years, there were 541,000 more birth rates than deaths.

 

The report also discussed the November 2022 report that shows the record of 745,000 in 2022. From then on, the migration level stayed high. As assumed, the net migration level will reach 315,000 people annually to mid-2028 onwards.

Measures to prevent excessive migration:

Last month, Sunak’s government announced stricter visa rules, which include:

 

• Higher salary threshold
• Restriction on bringing in family members.

 

However, the move was criticised by businesses and trade unions as it will be a problem for the private sector and state-run health services.

 

They will also lay out rules to increase the right for care workers to bring dependants, which will be enforced by March 11.

 

Other than that, the minimum earnings will be the threshold for arriving as a skilled worker by 48% to 38,700 pounds, which will be laid out by March 14 and liable from April 4.  

 

This will ensure a bit less immigration this year.
