AAIP draw issued 400 NOIs

Alberta immigrant Nominee Program has been renamed as Alberta Advantage  Immigration Program. Two new streams will also be added to this program. These streams are Rural Renewal Stream and Rural Enterprise Stream. Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has made an announcement of changing the name of the immigration department of the province.

Highlights of the AAIP Draw

• Two new streams in the Alberta Advantage Immigration program include Rural renewal Stream and Rural Enterprise Stream
• 400 Express Entry PNP candidates are invited
• The CRS score will be 340. After receiving the nomination 600 points will be added and the candidates will be eligible for Express Entry PNP.

About AAIP Draw

On February 18, 2022, details of the third list of AAIP or Alberta Advantage Immigration Program was published. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score of the applicants should be 340. A list of occupations has also been released, and it includes

• Retail sales supervisors
• Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
• Engineering managers
• Cooks
• Administrative officers
• Food service supervisors
• Administrative assistants
• Civil engineers

Eligibility criteria for AAIP

Candidates must have a valid work permit before they apply for the AAIP program. A valid work permit includes

• LMIA or Labor Market Impact Assessment
• A Post Graduation Work Permit
• An open work permit

Eligible occupations

When the application is submitted and during the assessment of the AAIP application, candidates must be working in an eligible occupation in Alberta. For a post-graduation work permit, a candidate should have an occupation related to his field. The candidate should also hold a one-year post-graduate diploma or post-baccalaureate certificate.
