Australia Department of Jobs and Small Business has offered proposals on Skilled Occupation Lists for skilled immigrants. It regularly evaluates the SOLs for skilled immigration to ensure that they are responsive to the needs of the labor market in Australia.
The SOLs are applicable for diverse Australia visa programs. These include a range of State-nominated, Points-tested, and Employer sponsored visas, as quoted by the SBS.
The DOJSB Australia conducts the review that has 7 stages. The first six stages of the review are now completed. It has flagged certain occupations for removal from SOLs. The occupations that are un-flagged will also most likely be impacted by the review.
The review process includes careful analysis of all the data and proof offered in the submissions. Only after this, the proposal to the government is submitted on the revision of the SOLs.
The review of the Skilled Occupation Lists for skilled immigration to Australia is held by the Department of Jobs and Small Business. The final decision is taken by the Immigration Minister of Australia.
The DOJSB assists the Australian government with analysis of the labor market and advice from the stakeholders. This helps the government in the decision-making process that is well informed.
The consultation process with the stakeholders includes submissions offered by the stakeholders. This supplements the analysis and labor market data of the Department. The surveys completed by individuals and employers are also included.
The review process has an impact on all the 3 occupations lists. These are the ROL, MLTSSL, and STOL.
