Immigration Australia has released the list of postcodes that make up the “regional areas” in Australia for immigration purposes. The list includes postcodes for both Perth and the Gold Coast.
The new postcodes only apply to the new Regional Visas. Current Subclass 489 Visa holders cannot move to the new regional locations.

Changes to Subclass 485 Temporary Graduate Visa
With effect from 16th November 2019, international students who graduate from “cities and major regional centres” mentioned on the list will get an extra year on their Subclass 485 Visa.
International students who graduate from “regional centres and other regional areas” will get two extra years on their Subclass 485 Visa.
Which visas does this apply to?
From 16th November 2019, the new definition of “regional area” applies to the following visas:
