Every state in Australia has received a temporary allocation to make the skill migration program available for the FY 2022-23 for the offshore and onshore applicants. As soon as the states update on accepting the applications and criteria, the clients are encouraged to begin the process immediately and are also advised complete the skill assessment with the required English proficiency scores to be eligible for the sponsorship even before the quota closes.
Queensland, also known as Sunshine State is located in Australia, has opened its migration program for 2022-23 onshore and offshore (Subclass 190 and 491) effective August 16, 2022.
Previously, this state was accepting nominations only from onshore applicants and not for offshore applicants.
Recently, the state has announced the list providing great opportunities for IT, Engineering, and Trades profiles.
The requirements are:
The state is open for offshore, and onshore applicants for the current program year, subclasses 190 & 491. Earlier, Victoria accepted nominations only from onshore applicants who were living and working in the state.
The primary aspect of the program is that every occupation on the suitable DHA occupation list is made eligible and does not require the applicants to obtain any of the STEMM skills or even work in the target sector from the criteria earlier.
This primary aspect, provides an opportunity, to pitch Australia to those applicants listed on the DHA occupation list, such as Engineering, IT, Accounting, and Trades profiles.

The Australia capital territory also received the nomination places for the FY 2022-23, with 2720 allocations, higher than the quota allocated for FY 2021-22, with 2000 places.
ACT has recently updated its list by adding several occupations and a few were removed.
Eligibility requirements for Overseas Applicants:
Subclass 190: Needs a job offer for a minimum of 2 years to hold the eligibility
Subclass 491: 3 years post-graduate experience in the nominated occupation
The state of Tasmania have also received a temporary nomination allocation for the program year 2022-23, with a total quota of 3350.
It is currently not open and may open in the phases in the coming weeks and will be updated on the re-opening of the Tasmania state nomination program. The highest quota that has been received was, by Victoria, WA, NSW, and QLD.
