Express Entry is an application management system that processes the application for permanent residency from candidates in
Through Express Entry, candidates are evaluated based on their CRS score. The CRS score is based on work experience, language ability, occupation, education, and age. Each factor is worth a specific point value.
Candidates who obtain the highest score are most likely to receive ITA. If any candidate receives an ITA, they have 60 days to apply for their final application for permanent residency.
The last draw was on October 26, 2023. Since then, this is the first draw. On November 16, as reported by the department, the issue due to a gap was resolved.
In the most recent draw, 3600 candidates were issued ITAs on October 26 in the category-based selection draw for healthcare occupation with a minimum score of 431.
There were two additional draws in the same week. On October 25, IRCC issued 300 candidates in a category-based selection draw for French-speaking proficiency with a minimum score of 486.
The remaining draws took place on October 24. IRCC issued candidates in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) with a minimum score of 776. Express Entry Candidates receive an additional 600 CRS points.

IRRC announced that Express Entry candidates would be based on one category rather than their overall CRS score. Six categories were created for in-demand occupations and newcomers with strong French language abilities. The five occupation-based categories were:
The highest number of category-based ITAs (6,900) has been issued to candidates with French Language proficiency.
Candidates who wish to immigrate to Canada through category-based Selection must be in the Express Entry pool and meet a minimum CRS score.
