There’s a willingness rising among UK entrepreneurs to take citizenship from EU member countries. This was found by investment migration firms like Astons.
Astons reports that there’s been a 50% rise in clients showing interest in obtaining Greek or Cypriot citizenship. A year on year increase of 30% in the number of such clients has also been recorded.
The timeline for the completion of Brexit formalities is fast coming to an end. Simultaneously, an increasing number of Britons are showing a keen interest in doing investment immigration. The countries of their choice are Portugal, Austria, Malta, and some Caribbean islands. The FCDO has pointed out that a new campaign has been created by the UK to help its citizens to be prepared for the changes going to be introduced from January 2021.
Interestingly, while more Britons are seeking investment immigration in EU member countries, the number of visitors on a UK tourist visa has been decreasing. The number of international tourists the UK is getting has also reduced because of the travel restrictions and bans introduced by many countries in their efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
