In immigration Australia has set the rules for the COVID-19 travel restrictions sothat only immediate family members of Australian citizens and PRs can enter Australia. But the parents are not included in the list of family members who can arrive in the country on an Australia travel visa yet.
More than 11,000 people, despondent by this situation, signed a petition. It got presented in the Australian parliament by a member of the parliament, Celia Hammond. She’s a Liberal MP.
Peter Dutton, the Australian Home Affairs Minister, and Alan Tudge, the Acting Immigration Minister, are yet to respond to the petition. Mr. Dutton should respond within 90 days to the petition.
