IRCC has planned to exceed the goal of inviting 147,000 immigrants for permanent residence. Sean Fraser made the statement of inviting immigrants at the end of January. Ottawa has also increased the citizenship goals to invite 210,000 new Canadian citizens.
IRCC has stated that the permanent residence and citizenship services will use dynamic processing times on the basis of updated calculations that are posted weekly. For temporary residence services, the dynamic processing has started a few weeks ago.
Processes to cut backlogs
IRCC said that it is in the process of modernizing and digitizing the processes to deliver the programs. This will be done to make Canada a favorite destination for immigration all over the world. Canada immigration officials are also in the process of reducing the processing time for visitor visas.
