About Canada

The capital of Canada, a federal parliamentary country, is Ottawa. The most spoken languages in the country are English and French. Immigrants who have proficiency in one of the two or both stand a chance of migrating to Canada. Canada is the world’s second-largest country by area and has diverse geographical regions. Be it mountains or plains, forests or lakes, they can all be found in Canada.

Canada is one of the desired destinations for immigrants to study, work, and settle. Because Canada faces a shortage of workers in several industries, it has drafted plans to invite highly-skilled foreign workers.

In the table, the 2023-2025 immigration levels plan makes public the number of immigrants it wants to invite onto its shores:

Year

2024

Canada is home to 10 provinces and 3 territories. However, Quebec has the autonomy to decide its immigration levels. All provinces of this North-American country badly need overseas workers to cut down on the shortage of skills the country faces. Canada welcomes immigrants through various immigration programs. After they arrive in the country, they can stay temporarily or settle permanently.
