Eligibility criteria for Chemical Engineers

A Chemical Engineer must meet the following eligibility requirements to acquire a job in Canada.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, master’s degree, or doctorate in engineering stream
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 1+ years of suitable experience.
  • Language proficiency: Language proficiency in French or English
  • Authorized engineering reports or drawings by a territorial or provincial association are mandatory to start a practice as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Engineers are allowed to register themselves from a recognized educational program, as soon as they complete graduation, gain three to four years of work experience, and pass a professional practice engineering examination
