This new program will give homecare workers PR on arrival in Canada. Homecare workers will also be allowed to work for organizations that provide temporary or part-time care for semi-independent people or people recovering from an injury or illness. The launch date is yet to be announced in the coming months.

Rural Community Immigration Pilot Program
The Rural Community Immigration Pilot replaces the successful Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). The Rural Community Immigration Pilot will provide pathways to newcomers who:
This pilot program was previously scheduled to launch in the fall of 2024 but is now expected to launch in 2025. The program eligibility criteria are yet to be announced.
Francophone Community Immigration Pilot
This pilot is part of Canada's Policy on Francophone Immigration, which aims to promote the growth of Francophone majority communities. The Francophone Community Immigration Pilot will focus on the number of French-speaking newcomers who want to settle in Francophone communities outside Quebec.
It aims to ensure the economic development of Francophone communities by restoring and increasing the demographic weight.
This pilot program was announced simultaneously as the Rural Community Immigration Pilot. With the Rural Community Immigration Pilot, IRCC will work on communities participating to attract and retain foreign-skill workers in rural and francophone minority communities. The eligibility criteria for this program are yet to be announced.
Manitoba's West Central Immigration Initiative Pilot
Manitoba announced a three-year pilot program to address the labor market shortage in its rural west-central region on November 15, 2024. Manitoba will collaborate with seven rural municipalities and Gambler First Nation to meet respective labor market needs. This pilot is a response to local demands for skilled workers. It is built on the province's current regional immigration initiatives in Morden, Parkland region, and Winkler Standley region.
To meet labor market needs, the province would require around 240-300 foreign nationals over the next three years. The launch date and eligibility criteria have yet to be declared.
