Canada was able to produce 41,000 jobs in April, despite the rate hikes by the Canadian Central Bank. However, the unemployment rate remained the same at 5%.
The country has consistently been producing jobs for the last eight months straight. This consistent job growth was last seen in Canada in 2017. Ontario saw the highest number of employment (33,000) in April.

Around 18% of the people employed were working part-time earlier. The average hourly wages for the month of April increased to 5.2%.
