The Provincial Nominee Program is a great chance for skilled workers in the world. It's their ticket to Canada. Lately, two such draws took place: one in British Columbia and another in Manitoba.

The British Columbia Tech Pilot Draw 2020

In what was the largest Tech Pilot Draw in 2020 by British Columbia, 85 invitations got issued in 4 streams. Candidates with skills and experience in one of 29 target occupations were given priority processing. The draw invited skilled tech talents to work in British Columbia. It was another instance when we got to see the opportunities for skilled migration to Canada. It’s a great chance for qualified tech candidates who are looking for chances outside Australia.

The 4 streams that got featured in the Tech Pilot Draw were:

  • SI - Skilled Workers (least score - 90 points)
  • EEBC - Express Entry Skilled Workers (least score - 90 points)
  • SI - International Graduates (least score - 90 points)
  • EEBC - Express Entry International Graduates (least score - 90 points)

The tech employers in British Columbia are upbeat about the Tech Draw. The BC PNP Tech Pilot Draw is now extended to June 2020. This gives them the chance to recruit more skilled workers in the tech industry.

Manitoba Expression of Interest Draw 2020

This Draw attracted skilled candidates for Canada PR through provincial nomination.  The 82nd Manitoba Expression of Interest Draw issued 181 LAAs (Letters of Advice to Apply) in 3 streams.

  • Skilled workers in Manitoba (124 letters, lowest rank 548)
  • International Education Stream (18 letters)
  • Skilled Workers Overseas (39 letters, lowest rank 679)

The Manitoba draw gives skilled economic class immigrants the chance to build their future in Canada. Are you a skilled candidate ready to work in tech and non-tech roles? Then you can use the Canada Express Entry system or Manitoba PNP.

You must first register an EOI (Expression of Interest) with the Manitoba PNP. This will help you get invited for a provincial nomination. This will be under the Skilled Worker and Skilled Worker Overseas categories. Your EOI profile gets ranked through points. These points are for factors like English skills, work experience, Manitoba connections, and education.
