Ontario retailers want to hire more immigrants as the number of jobs has increased before the Christmas shopping season. Statistics Canada issued a report that states that job vacancies in Ontario increased by 387,235. The number of payroll employees increased by 506,895 and reached up to almost 6.4 million.
Rocco Rossi, president, and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, has stated that allocation for the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program should be boosted. Almost a million jobs are available in Canada and employers are in dire need of hiring foreign workers to fill these positions through different programs like Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program, etc. A report published by RBC stated that the shortage of workers has hit the companies very badly.

Employers are hoping to employ foreign workers through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and International Mobility Program. International workers can also be invited through the Global Talent Stream which is a part of TFWP. Through this stream, work permits can be processed within two weeks.

The ranking is given to the profiles through the Comprehensive Ranking System score. Candidates who get the highest ranks receive invitations to apply. After that, they have to apply for Canada PR within 60 days.
