Ways companies are selected for employer-specific work permits under the Innovation Stream

Candidates who are participating in the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP) are granted the Innovation stream LMIA-exempt work permits.

 

The GHP was launched by the Canadian government to help innovative Canadian companies grow. This project aims to support Canadian companies in creating small businesses, job opportunities, and supporting economic growth. All the first eight companies chosen are home grown companies that the government has identified as industry leaders and innovators.
