Two Canadian ministers recently gave their views on the significance of Canada immigration to the country’s economy.
One of them was Marco Mendicino. He is the minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada. The other was Navdeep Bains who’s the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry.
These ministers can speak for the innumerable immigrant success stories across Canada. Way back, Mendicino’s family had arrived in Canada from Italy after the Second world war. Bains’s family had immigrated to Canada from India.
These 2 ministers are in charge of overseeing portfolios of applicants. The skills and qualifications of the candidates are essential for the economic development of the country.
Both ministers reassured in their article that after an initial difficulty to merge into the Canadian environment, the migrants will surely find a lot of opportunities to create their success stories. Their successes will translate into Canada’s own success story, enriching it further.
These 2 ministers share the task of attracting foreign workers, international students, and immigrants to Canada.
Canada is all set to welcome more global talent to its shores in 2020. The Immigration Levels Plan of Canada supports this enthusiasm by aiming higher year after year. Mendicino has no doubts that immigration is the priority area for Canada, which he stressed in his latest article along with Bains.
The fact that foreign workers are largely getting exemptions from COVID-19 travel restrictions is proof of the sincerity of their statement. Also, the COVID-19 crisis has not stopped PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) and Express Entry programs from happening. The IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) is already expecting a huge jump in the immigration Canada will witness once the COVID-19 crisis ends.
