Australian Immigration Minister in FECCA

A convention was held by the FECCA or Federation of Ethnic Communities Council of Australia in Melbourne. The convention was initiated on June 16, 2022.

The Immigration Minister of Australia, Andrew Giles, addressed a session. He appreciated the increasing multicultural diversity in the country. It was also promised that the officials and departments would work together to clear the backlogs of visa applications for individuals who migrate to Australia.

He also raised the issue of families being separated due to the pandemic.

The Australian Immigration Minister appreciated the 2022 FECCA conference. Mr. Giles stated that the Labor government envisions a country where everyone feels a sense of belonging, valued, respected, and takes pride in their identity.

More than a hundred speakers are participating in FECCA. They are addressing several issues on diversity, identity, racism, aged care reform, and disability.

The foreign national skilled temporary workers would also be granted permanent residency. The Australian government is working upon a pathway for permanent ways of migration.

The new government of Australia is working on reducing the parent visa processing in the country.
