Necessary conditions for Canada Study Permit that students need to follow:

Thousands of international students migrate to Canada through Canada study visa for studying over there. There are certain conditions for a study permit that an individual must follow. IRCC is responsible for the entire specific document that will be issued.

 

General Condition for Study visa:

Many conditions are necessary for a Canada study permit, ranging from work authorization to travel capabilities from the starting and ending date of the permit, such as:

 

• Be enrolled in Canadian-Designed Learning (DLI).
• Displaying active pursuit in one study.
• Informing Canadian Government after changing secondary school.
• Leaving Canada after their permit expires.
• The specific level of study
• Permission to work on and off the campus.
• Whether the student can travel within Canada.
• The date by which the student must stop studying.

Working Conditions for the Students while studying:

Most students pursuing a Canadian education opt for a Canada work permit to earn money. The student needs to follow the proper conditions for working in Canada. Students can work on and off Campus without a separate work visa.

 

For On Campus Work permit:

To work on Campus, a student must have a valid study permit and possess a Social Insurance Number (SIN).

It is mandatory to stop working:

• If the student fails to meet the requirements of a full-study course.
• When their study permit expires.
• If they are on leave from their studies.
• If the student is switching schools and they are not studying.

 

Off-Campus Work Permit:

To work off campus, the international student must be full-time at DLI, be enrolled in a post-secondary academic, have a valid study permit and possess a Social Insurance Number (SIN).

 

International students must be enrolled in a program that leads to a diploma and certificate and is at least six months long.

It is mandatory to stop working:

• If their study permit says, they are not authorized to work off campus while they study.
• If they are only enrolled in French and English as a second language programs.
• The student only takes courses required to be accepted in a full-time program.
• If the student's situation changes and they can't fulfill the requirements of a Canadian work permit.

Other Conditions that students need to follow to reside in Canada:

For Travelling outside Canada:

Every Canadian student studying in Canada can travel outside Canada either for a vacation or to meet their family. Canada allows international students to travel outside the country only with the Canada study permit validity period. They need to follow the criteria to re-enter Canada again. The study permit is one of many documents to travel outside Canada. Depending on their chosen country, they either need to opt for a visitor visa or eTA. Students must ensure their visitor visa/ eTA is valid while returning to Canada.

For re-entering Canada with a valid study permit:

Students have to meet specific criteria, such as:

• Have a valid passport or travel documents (such as a visitor (temporary resident) visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
•  Attending a Canadian DLI.
• Meet other re-entering requirements for Canada.  

 

Students who are free from all the study permit conditions:

• People with refugee status in Canada.
• Spouses or dependent child of a Canadian study permit holder.
• People are studying in Canada under an exchange agreement with Canada and other countries.

 

Only international students are liable to meet other study conditions even if they meet study permit conditions.
