The H1B visa program allows temporary US employers to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations.
USCIS announced a final rule for strengthening the H1B visa procedure to reduce specific actions such as fraud, gaming for the registration system and ensuring that each beneficiary gets the same chance of being selected.
USCIS has also announced the registration period date for fiscal year 25 H1B visa registration by introducing two forms for online filing:
The USCIS also improved the beneficiary process by introducing a beneficiary-centric process. This process will ensure the selection of unique beneficiaries rather than registration. This process also ensures that each H1B beneficiary would have the same chance of being selected. The proposed rule will provide transparency in the selection procedure overall.
USCIS will also require the beneficiary to provide a valid passport and travel documents. Each beneficiary must be registered under one passport or travel document.
Additionally, USCIS can revoke and reject the USCIS petition containing false information.
USCIS also scheduled the final fee cost. The FY 2025 H-1B cap registration fee will be $10 starting from March 2024.

The registration period for the FY 2025 H-1B cap will open at noon Eastern on March 6, 2024. Applicants must use the online application process to register each beneficiary electronically for the selection process.
On February 28, 2024, USCIS will launch the previously stated new organization accounts, allowing USCIS to collaborate online with multiple people and enhance the H1B visa registration process.
On April 1, USCIS will begin accepting online filing for H-1B cap petitions and associated Forms I-907 for petitioners whose registrations have been selected.
Applicants will continue to have the option of filing a paper Form I-129 H-1B petition and any associated Form I-907. However, during the initial launch of organizational accounts, users cannot help file Forms I-129 and I-907 to their online accounts.
USCIS will also increase the filing fee for form I-907 to adjust from February 26, 2024.
