What are the Manitoba Immigration Programs?

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program oversees the immigration of Manitoba and manages the immigration applications for Canada. The provinces do not have the authority to grant Canada PR visas but help in the provincial nominations of immigrants.

If candidates want to gain nomination through Manitoba, they must submit an EOI or Expression of Interest to the Manitoba PNP. They can be eligible for an LAA under either of the two streams listed below:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba
  • Skilled Workers Overseas

Manitoba awards points to applicants out of 1,000 on the basis of their links with the province and factors of human capital in the province.

What is an LAA?

If an applicant is issued an LAA or Letter of Advice to Apply, they can log into their Express Entry account and view their complete Manitoba PNP application.

The applicant has 60 days from the date of issuance of the LAA to submit the duly filled application. The charges of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program are non-refundable. The application fee is 500 CAD for Skilled Workers.
