Germany invited more than 22,422 foreign nationals in 2024

Germany introduced the New Skilled Immigration Act, which has been declared successful after attracting thousands of skilled workers. In 2023, more than 177,000 skilled visas were issued to foreign skilled workers. In 2024, the number of foreign nationals increased by ten percent, with foreign national quotes reaching 200,000. The process was further streamlined by digitalizing the procedure for immigrant candidates. There are more than 400,000 job opportunities in Germany for skilled workers.

Italy will increase the number of Work Visas in 2025

The Italian government plans to increase the number of work visas to address the labor shortage. In 2025, the number of work visas issued for foreign nationals will increase by 165,000. In 2024, the total number of work visas was set at 151,000. In 2023, the total number was set at 136,000.

 

This three-year plan includes increasing the number of work visas issued, especially across professions where labor shortages are noticed. In 2025, the government will issue 93,550 visas for seasonal workers, up from 89,050 in 2024. Most of the workers in this category are in agriculture and hospitality, such as hotel tourism.
