In 2023, Germany issued a total number of 200,100 citizenship, which was the highest number registered since 2000. As per the Federal Statistical Office, the German citizenship benefited 157 countries. In 2023,the figure exceeded by 19% more than in 2022.

The average count of newly granted German citizenship was 29.3, and the younger population of Germany was 44.6. The number of female German citizens was nearly 45 per cent.
In 2022, Germany issued 168,545 citizenship, which represented just 3.1 per cent of internationals who had been living in Germany for at least ten years.
In the first four months of 2023, Germany issued 6,869 Citizenship for Israel citizens with German ancestors .
In 2022, Germany received 5,670 applications for German citizenship; whereas in 2023, it received 9,129 citizenship. After the new citizenship rule comes to, Germany plans to introduce a new online platform to provide detailed information about the procedures of applying for the German Citizenship.
The German government also enforced new changes to improve the citizenship process for children born to foreign parents in Germany by reducing the time period of residence for parents from eight to five years.
