Details of Family reunification scheme:

In the last decade, the number of migrants increased to a million in Germany. Non-EU nationals have issued 121,000 family reunification visas till November 2023.

 

As the number of family reunification visas increased this year, it overtook the previous record of 2017. In 2017, Germany issued a total of 117,992 family reunification visas.

 

Since then, the family reunification visa count has been high. The table below demonstrates the visa count that was issued:

In 2015, Germany, through the family reunification scheme, issued 930,000 migrants. As the German authority clarified, spouses, registered partners, parents, minors, and unmarried children can migrate to Germany with their family members.
