Overview:

As Europe has a high economy, it is planning to attract a high number of skilled workers. These individuals can continue their further education or even re-educate themselves according to the planning of the Labor Ministry.

Germany has over 80 million people and yet, the country is still facing labor shortages across different industries. The Labor Ministry has predicted a shortage of about 240,000 skilled workers by the year 2026.

Hubertus Heil, the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Germany stated, “The country is looking for skilled laborers to fill the gaps in many businesses. The main objective is to manage the digitalization of the economy.”

Germany has been facing challenges in the labor market because of, the digital modifications in the economy, and the negative impact of the Ukraine war and pandemic.

The Labor Ministry is planning to implement a strategy, to address the issues by improving the immigration system by training and modernizing it.
