Details about UAE Green Card

The 5-year residency visa can be issued to government and private sector employees. This visa aims to attract and retain skilled workers and professionals from across the globe.  

The government and private sector must have freelancers, self-employed individuals, and skilled employers.

There are different eligibility criteria for the UAE Green Card:

• For freelancers or self-employers: They must hold a bachelor’s degree or specialized diploma and possess a self-employed self-employed permit or freelance permit issued by MoHRE.
• Skilled employees: Skilled employers must provide a valid employment contract from a first, second, or third occupation level qualified under MoHRE and earn a minimum salary of AED15,000.
• Investors or partners: They must have approval for their investment and provide proof of their investment activities along with approval from the relevant local authority.   

The benefits of UAE Green card: 

• The ability to sponsor kids, spouses, or relatives.
• The ability to sponsor male children till 25 years of age and unmarried daughters with no age limit.
• Special provisions for children of determination.
• A grace period of six months for overstays. 
• Eligibility for overseas applicants to receive 60-day entry work permits to facilitate the visa process.
