Details of the new 5 years multinational visa:

Indonesia has launched a five years multi-national visa for tourist and visitors for business. As the government declared the extended validity of visa will make travel to Indonesia more affordable.

 

With this visa an individual can stay in Indonesia for up to 60days. Although they didn’t declared the specify time within which the 60 days must be used. The entry fee of visa should be paid online and the fee is set at $972. The visa holders are flexible to travel, visit family and friends and participate in events and meetings.

 

Indonesia government later clarified that the visa is intended for tourism and business purpose and holder are not permitted to work for local employers. People who are seeking to work or stay for extended period of time they must apply for an alternative visa category.

 

Indonesia is working on its visa policies to attract more international visitor. Indonesia is removing visa requirements for 20 countries which also include:  

 

• Australia
• India
• China
• South Korea
• The UK
• The US
• Middle Eastern
• European countries.

 

Other measures taken for streamlining the visa process:

Indonesia’s immigration services also introduced a better procedure by online visa permit extension service. This service helps the foreigners to apply for visa procedure online rather than visiting the immigration office. The traditional practice of stamping on stay permit has been replaced by applicant directly receiving the permit.

 

The online visa category includes visa option for:

 

• Holidays
• Family visits
• Transit
• Medical treatment
• Foreign government officials' trips
• Short courses and training
• International exhibitions.
