First Two Months of 2023 Witnessed Increase in New PRs
According to IRCC's latest data, there was a 40% surge in new PRs for Canadian immigration in January and February 2023 compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.

Projected growth of PRs by 2023
If the current rate is maintained, the total number of new permanent residents will likely reach 602,580 by 2023.
According to Ottawa's 2023-2025 Immigration Levels Plan, the province aims to admit 465,000 new permanent residents (PRs) by 2023, 485,000 new PRs by 2024, and 500,000 new PRs by 2025.
Increased Immigration Growth for New PRs in Key Provinces in 2023
In the first two months of 2023, certain provinces experienced a significant rise in the proportion of new permanent residents compared to the same months in 2022, as shown in the table below.
