NAATI CCL Test offers 5 extra points for Australia Skilled Immigration

The point’s threshold for General Australia Skilled Immigration was recently enhanced by the Government to 65 from 60. Thus, several skilled overseas workers are now looking for options to enhance their scores. This is to enhance their chances of immigrating to Australia, as quoted by the SBS.

Some of the fresh applicants are now enhancing their scores by passing a language test from NAATI. It is the CCL - Credentialed Community Language offered by National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. This test offers 5 points to the successful candidates for their Australia Skilled Immigration points score.

CCL test assesses the ability of an applicant to interpret conversation. This is between two speakers conversant in diverse languages.

Interpreter and Translator Harpal Singh said that there has been an increase in numbers of people attempting CCL Test. These trends have emerged after June 2018 said Singh who is accredited with NAATI. This is to score the extra 5 points for Australia Skilled Immigration, he added.

The Government had recently enhanced the point’s threshold for skilled immigration to Australia, said, Singh. So all are keen to attempt this test and score 5 extra points, he explained.

There are 2 options to increase the score said, Harpal Singh. The first option is to score a band score of 7 in each section of the IELTS test. The second option is the NAATI CCL Test, he said.  The second option is easier for people being held at a conversational level. Meanwhile, the IELTS is held at the academic level said, Singh.
