Details of the Innovative Stream pilot

On 15th April, Canada announced the two-year Innovative stream pilot via the Global Hypergrowth project. The Global Hypergrowth project is a new scale-up service from the Canadian government that helps Canadian-based businesses develop further and faster. The new Innovative stream pilot will allow highly skilled workers to work in Canada without needing an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment).

 

Jobs ranked in Tier categories 0,1,2,3 (Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities) are considered high-skilled jobs.

Eligibility criteria of Innovative stream pilot:

Here are the eligibility criteria that an employee will need to meet  for a work permit under the Innovative Stream pilot:

 

  • Applicants must have a job offer from one of the eligible employers under the Global Hypergrowth project.
  • Candidates must complete their work permit application using an IRCC secure Account.
  • The Job must fall under a TEER 0,1,2,3 occupation per the NOC (National Occupational Classification).
  • Offered wages should equal or exceed the median hourly wage.
