Highest priority to applicants outside Australia for Healthcare and Teaching occupations

Australia removed Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) for the processing of certain types of skilled visa applications. ‘Ministerial Direction 100’ is a new order issued by the Minister of Immigration for application processing.

The new rule will be effective from December 01, 2022 and priority will be given to the skilled applications outside Australia for Healthcare and Teaching occupations.

Highest priority will be given to the applicants under the categories listed below:

  • Nominations and Visa applications lodged by/for Accredited Sponsors in any occupation
  • Applications for occupations that are to be done in a designated regional area
  • Permanent and provisional visas that count towards the migration program (not including 188 Business Visas)

Priority for immigration has been retained for applicants having:

  • Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (Hong Kong SAR) passports
  • British National Overseas (BNO) passport
