Ontario Entrepreneur Draw invites 33 candidates

Highlights

• A new draw is being held on July 15 by Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
• 33 Invitations to Apply (ITA) issued for the candidates under Ontario Entrepreneur Stream.
• Candidates who had CRS scores between 146 and 174 points were given invitations.

Ontario Entrepreneur Draw

In a new draw, Ontario Immigration has issued 33 invitations to apply (ITA) under the provincial Entrepreneur Stream. Candidates who have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) by July 8, 2022, will be considered eligible under this program.

A new draw that will be held on July 15, 2022, issued ITAs to candidates through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), who have CRS scores between 146 and 174 points.

Financial Requirements for Entrepreneur Stream of Ontario

1) Net Worth

If the candidate proposed a business which has a minimum assets worth of $800,000, will get an opportunity to be in Greater Toronto Area (GTA). If the proposed business is outside the GTA, the minimum net worth required is $400,000.

The proposed business can be either Intra company transfers (ICT) or digital communications whose minimum assets worth needs to be $400,000 anywhere in the province.

2) Investment and Ownership

Finance a minimum of $600,000, on any Ontario business and should have at least 33 percent of the share in case the business is in the GTA.

Invest $200,000 in a minimum amount if the business is outside the GTA and must own at least 33 percent.

Non-financial requirements for Entrepreneur Stream of Ontario

• As a business owner or a senior manager, the candidate must possess at least 24 months of fulltime business experience, for the past 60 months.
• The applicant must create a minimum of two full time jobs for the Canadian citizens or the PRs in the proposed business in case the company is located inside the GTA. If the business is outside the GTA, either ICT or digital communications must compose of the full-time job.
• The candidate can make an exploratory visit to Ontario, within five working days during the 12 month period before issuance of Expression of Interest. Provided this works only for those entrepreneurs who are acquiring an existing business.
• Candidates must hold a minimum Canada language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in English or French.
• The entrepreneurs must, be physically residing for a minimum of 75% in Ontario to manage the business.
