Ontario issued 1,340 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to the immigration candidates under the Skilled Trades Stream.

In September 2022, this is the 2^nd OINP draw under this stream, where the immigration candidates were issued the ITAs using the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP).

Ontario nominated the candidates with a CRS score ranging from 266 and above. These immigration candidates can apply for permanent residence in Canada.

The applicants under the Express Entry pool, are selected by the OINP Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Provided that, they may meet the required criteria of the given immigration stream.

*Note: All the nominated applicants, should submit their Express Entry profiles within a period of 45 days.

Eligibility criteria to apply for Ontario Skilled Trades Stream

Expanding the construction and agricultural sectors of skilled trades workers is the main objective of this stream. For eligibility under this stream, the applicants require:

• Proof of certificates or license based on the occupation
• Valid work permit
• Paid work experience: 1 year in Ontario
• 4 Language skills & proficiency: English or French with 5 points
• Pending application under Express Entry
• Proof of sufficient funds

Previously on September 7, 2022, Ontario invited 1,521 immigration candidates under Skilled Trades Stream. The required CRS score for this draw was 320 and above.
