The new rate is effective from April 1 to October 1. A worker earning the minimum wage and working 40 hours per week can earn an annual pay of $1,355.
In addition to the increase in general wages, the exceptional salaries for students and WFH workers will also be applicable from October 1.

Ontario expects to raise the minimum wage to $165.75 to $172.05 per hour as of October 1.
