PEI-PNP draw invites 204 immigration candidates

Highlights of the PEI-PNP Draw held on October 20, 2022

 

• Prince Edward Island, popularly known as Garden of the Gulf invited 204 candidates
• Candidates having a minimum score of 72 were invited in this draw
• 194 candidates were invited under Labor and Express Entry Stream
• 10 were invited under Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream

Details of the PEI draw

PEI-PNP draw held on October 20, 2022, invited 204 candidates having a minimum score of 72 points. Among these 204 candidates, 194 for Labor and Express Entry Invitations, and the remaining 10 for to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Invitations. In 2022, the Prince Edward Island PNP, planned to hold one draw every month and followed it exactly in October month. The province invited 204 candidates having a minimum score of 72 points.

What is the PEI-PNP Express Entry Category?

  The PEI-PNP Express Entry Category is an enhanced PNP linked to the federal government’s Express Entry system. Candidates have to register their profile in the Express Entry System to get considered for this stream.

Express Entry System

It is an immigration application manager who manages three immigration programs:

• Federal Skilled Worker Program
• Federal Skilled Trades Program
• Canadian Experience Class

Labor Impact Category

The Labor Impact Category is for the foreign nationals who have a valid job offer in PEI and receive support from their employer is eligible for this stream. It is further divided into the following streams

• Skilled Worker
• Critical Worker
• International Graduate

Applicants for this category should also register Expression of Interest to get considered for a provincial nomination under the Labor Impact Category.

Business Impact Category

Business Impact Category candidates who meet the minimum requirements in order to proceed with their applications. But remember that the score is different in every draw. The invitations issued in today's draw were included under Work Permit Stream. This is for foreign entrepreneurs who wish to operate a business on this island.

Eligibility in PEI –PNP

Eligible candidates should get a minimum score which is calculated based on the factors like

• Age
• Work Experience
• Education
• Language Proficiency In English or French

To get eligible for PEI-PNP, the candidates also need to register Expression of Interest (EOI). Under provincial nomination, candidates can receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score, which guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
