Prince Edward Island has sent around 165 invitations for skilled worker and entrepreneur categories in the new draw that happened on July 21. This draw is issued to impact the workforce. Express Entry, and business impact using Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) streams.
Under labor workforce and Express Entry, 138 invitations for sent to candidates, whereas under the business impact category 27 invitations were sent. Only a minimum of 60 CRS points were needed under business impact.

Prince Edward Island launched its Expression of Interests (EOIs) at the beginning of 2018; from then monthly draws continued until the pandemic arrived. PEI issued around 1,933 invites in 2021, compared to 2020 (1,955).
In 2021, out of 1933 invitations, 1764 invites were sent to labor impact and Express Entry candidates and the rest 169 invites were sent under the business impact category.
Prince Edward Island's Express Entry category is operated on candidates who are already existing in the Federal route, i.e., Express Entry Pool waiting for a provincial nomination. Those candidates will get an additional 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and then the candidate will receive an invitation to apply (ITAs).
