Queensland has recently announced that it is temporarily suspending 4 occupations from its SOL. The occupations have been removed from the SOL as of 1st February 2019.

As per the official immigration website of Queensland, the quota for the 4 occupations has been filled. The occupations will no longer be issued Invitations to Apply.

The occupations which have been removed from the Queensland SOL are:

  1. 261111- ICT Business Analyst
  2. 233213- Quantity Surveyor
  3. 133111- Construction Project Manager
  4. 225113- Marketing Specialist

The Business and Skilled Migration Queensland (BSMQ) website notified that no new invitations for these occupations would be issued. However, if any of those who have been invited do not timely respond, then these occupations may be opened in future.

Queensland has also removed 2 occupations from its offshore QSOL list. These occupations are:

  1. 232511- Interior Designer
  2. 224111- Actuary

With effect from 1st February 2019, these 2 occupations are no longer available on the offshore QSOL list.

They are, however, available on the onshore QSOL list, as per SBS News. Applicants who are already working in Queensland may be still able to apply for these occupations.
