Non-EU country tourists who are expecting a Schengen visa to arrive in the Schengen Area may have to drop to change plans for their summer holiday plans. If they have not applied for a visa then they cannot apply anymore as there are no appointments till September.
The European Union / Schengen Area countries have eased most of the pandemic-related entry restrictions for this summer, the third country travelers applied for visa. Currently, due to high demand of traveling, there no available appointments until the mid-September.
The tourism trade executives stated that around 26 Schengen Area countries are unable to provide slots for traveling during the months of July and August. For a few couple of countries, they might offer some available slots in August. But until September, there are less chances of making slots available for traveling.

Due to the high demand for travel visa applications and there are only fixed number of visas are available to allot, the embassies are facing a huge chaos to issue the visas.
As there are no visa appointments till mid-September, most of the travel companies have observed a trend that most of the third county tourists are looking for other destinations to travel. Previously, embassies used to take a long time to process visa applications. Now this is not the case anymore, as additional staff has been recruited now. Visa applications are now being processed in just 15 working days.
The Schengen visa (short-stay visa) is granted to a person to enter in any Schengen Area country for 90 days period for tourism or business purposes.
Any foreign national who has not reached a visa-liberalization or never even signed a similar agreement with the Schengen Area countries, needs to acquire a visa before visiting to the European Union (EU). Based on the reason for the trip, a tourist can apply for different types of visas.
The ones that are planning to travel to the EU for travel purposes must have to apply for a tourist visa. The tourist visa allows third country nationals to visit Schengen Area for a maximum period of 90 days in a period of six months.
