Australia has allowed skilled migrants residing in South Australia to apply for a state nomination if they meet federal and state requirements. South Australia has opened its migration program for 2021-22 for select occupations including:
From July 20, 2021, offshore applicants are permitted to file their RoI (Registration of Interest) to get a nomination from the Australian state. The nomination will be for the Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional (Provincial)) visa.
Onshore applicants are allowed to apply for Subclass 190 and Subclass 491.

Once onshore applicants get a state nomination, they can apply for Subclass 190 (Permanent) and Subclass 491 (the 5-year visa) visas. They must also file an RoI if they are applying under the Talent & Innovators program.

International graduates from South Australia can get additional points when filing an application for Subclass 491 or Subclass 190 if they meet the study requirements of the state.
