South Australia SOL updates for immigrant applicants

South Australia has altered the statuses of certain occupations in the SOL – Skilled Occupation List and immigrant applicants to Australia must be aware of them.

Below are the occupations and updates:

• Audiologist – 252711 - Special Conditions Apply - 3 years work experience in the field - Proficient English / Proficient Plus overall – VETASSESS
• Business Machine Mechanic – 342311 - Competent English - Special Conditions Apply – TRA
• Sales and Marketing Manager – 131112 - Offshore applicants Provisional 489 visa only - Proficient English / Proficient Plus overall – AIM

There are certain special conditions that need to be fulfilled for receiving State sponsorship from South Australia for specific occupations. Applicants must be able to fulfill them prior to applying for the sponsorship, as quoted by the Australian.

If the occupation is available under Supplementary List, the application can be made under the high point’s category – 80 points. From March 1, 2018, the High Points category of Immigration SA has been enhanced to 90 points. Prospective immigrants to Australia must also take a note of the same.

The aspiring immigrant applicants to Australia must be aware that the occupations that are under Low Availability/ Available can close at any time. They must make best efforts to submit an application for South Australia state sponsorship as early as possible for these occupations.
