On June 1, 2022, Sweden introduced new rules for work permit impacting various types of work permits that concern both the employers and employees. According to the Swedish Migration Agency monthly report, the vast majority of residence permits were issued for work with a total of 4,474, depicting 33.9 percent of the permits issued since the beginning of 2022.
